Destination Dash: Roll & Dash

A cozy, competitive twist on classic Ludo — Top-down board, clever traps, and two-pawn teams. Play vs AI or vs a friend.

About

Destination Dash: Roll & Dash is a modern take on the Ludo board game with a top-down map, playful characters, and tactical traps. Move your two pawns, avoid hazards, bait opponents into traps, and race to get both your pawns to the finish — the bus. Simple rules, emergent strategy.

Key Features

  • Classic Ludo rules adapted to a top-down board
  • Pick two characters for your team from a colorful roster
  • Play vs AI (smart pawn selection) or vs Human (local play)
  • Traps & hazards: send opponents home, push them back, or trigger a higher-roll mini-challenge
  • AI makes decisions — won’t use the same pawn too many times in a row
  • Polished UI: portraits, preview screen, turn label with team-color highlights

How to Play

  1. Choose two characters for your team on the character select screen.
  2. Roll the dice to move a pawn along the track.
  3. Land on other pawns, including your own, to send them home — but safe spots prevent captures.
  4. Avoid trap spaces — some force mini-challenges, others push you back or send you home.
  5. First team to get both pawns to the bus wins.

Controls

  • Click / Tap dice button to roll.
  • Switch button selects which pawn to control (if multiple are available).
  • Character selection: click portraits to pick your two pawns (a ✓ appears when selected).

Works with mouse, keyboard and touch (mobile friendly).

Traps & Mini-Games

Trap spaces add unpredictability:

  • Send Home; sand pits — land and you’re returned to start.
  • Back 3; dogs — move back three spaces.
  • Lose Turn; stop signs — skip your next turn.
  • Higher Roll; skeletons — roll a required target (1–6). If you fail, you’re pushed back a random 4–8 spaces.

Tips

  • Use safe spaces to protect pawns while you reposition the other.
  • The AI prioritizes captures and avoids repeating the same pawn more than 4 times in a row.
  • If you roll three sixes in a row, your turn is lost — don’t get carried away!
